Missions / Main Duties
The Principal Electrical Engineer will be accountable for the production and delivery of electrical design allocated to MEP projects.
Manage complex or nonâstandard design solutions.
Have a good understanding of CSM/CDM regulations and requirements.
Good communication and presentation skills for external presentations to clients.
Manage a team of electrical engineers on allocated projects.
Maintain good relationships with all external parties to enhance the reputation of the company.
Maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote good interâdiscipline working relationships and a \âOne Team\â ethos.
Main Duties
Ensure projects are completed to meet all client\âs requirements and applicable standards.
Ensure projects are completed to the agreed project programme.
Ensure projects are completed to the agreed budget.
Plan the project works and provide forwardâview resource forecasting to enable the team leader to allocate suitable resources to the projects.
Identify changes to the project client requirements and raise the changes with the SYSTRA Project Management Team.
Provide monthly costâtoâcomplete forecasts to the SYSTRA Project Management Team.
Ensure the training and development needs of the electrical team are met to serve the clients\â/projects requirements.
Profile / Skills
Essential
Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role.
Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required.
Detailed knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms.
Detailed knowledge of multiâdisciplinary issues associated with M&E and/or building services.
Detailed knowledge of construction principles and standards.
Desirable
Able to undertake overseas assignments where required.
Experience in working with offshore Production Centres.
Ideally a Chartered Engineer.
Qualified to HNC or equivalent.
Significant engineering design and site experience in a similar consultancy or contractor organisation.
