Overview
In this role you transform engineering concepts into deployable railway and civil design outputs. You work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver construction-ready 2D drawings and 3D models that meet Australian standards. You’ll support design reviews, coordinate across disciplines, and maintain accurate project data. The position offers exposure to major rail projects and a pathway toward chartership, within a collaborative, flexible culture.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for rail, civil, earthworks, drainage, and corridor projects
- Produce construction-ready documentation in line with client and rail authority standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support design reviews and resolve clashes
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and accurate project data in cloud-based systems
- Review drawings and engineering information to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability
Key requirements
- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Rail infrastructure drafting experience in heavy rail, light rail, metro, or transport environments
- Strong understanding of rail geometry, civil design principles, earthworks, drainage, and corridor infrastructure
- Experience applying Australian rail industry standards and specifications
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Extensive 2D AutoCAD experience; familiarity with other rail design and digital engineering platforms
