Missions / Main Duties

  • Work with a team of engineers producing and delivering the electrical design of allocated M&E Projects as instructed by the Projects Lead M&E Engineer.
  • Be a good communicator and a self‑motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote Good Inter‑Discipline working relationships and a \”One Team\” ethos.

Duties

  • Ensure projects are completed to meet all client’s requirements and applicable standards.
  • Ensure designs meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements.
  • Ensure designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
  • Plan the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales.
  • Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise them with the CRE/Lead Engineer.

Profile / Skills

Essential

  • Flexibility in working hours to meet the role’s demands.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.
  • Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure, including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms.
  • Experience using Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM, Microstation and/or Relux/Dialux Design Software.
  • Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary issues associated with M&E and/or building services.

Desirable

  • Ability to undertake overseas assignments where required.
  • Experience working with offshore Production Centres.
  • Ideally an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
  • Qualified to HNC or equivalent.
  • Experience working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
