We are seeking an experienced Principal Digital Engineer to act as a BIM Coordinator to lead and orchestrate digital delivery and information management across our portfolio of projects within the Infrastructure Engineering market. This coordinating role operates across design, construction, and handover phases, working through dedicated BIM, information management, assurance, and design coordination functions to ensure consistent application of standards, robust model coordination, compliant asset data capture, and seamless handover readiness.
Missions / Main Duties
- Project Requirements Management
- Ensure all project Digital Engineering requirements are clearly understood and met
- Monitor compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations
- Track and report on achievement of requirements across all three domains
- Address gaps and implement corrective actions to ensure full requirements satisfaction
- BIM Delivery Oversight
- Verify compliance with ISO 19650 standards and client BIM requirements
- Support BIM Lead in resolving complex technical or coordination challenges
- Ensure BIM outputs align with project milestones and quality expectations
- Managing the BIM Execution Plan & ensuring team adherence to it
- Maintaining & managing BIM models, ensure they are up to date & accurate
- Facilitate communication & collaboration between different project teams
- Project Support
- Providing technical support to project team on BIM-related issues
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of BIM content libraries
- Preparing and maintaining project documents related to BIM
- Communication and Coordination
- Conducting regular BIM coordination meetings to communicate project changes and resolve design issues
- Serving as a point of contact for BIM related queries & issues
- Communicating project status and progress to the project team and stakeholders
- Coordinating the integration of models from different disciplines
- Training project personnel on BIM tools and workflows
Profile / Skills
- Education & Certifications
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field preferred
- ISO 19650 certification or equivalent information management qualification
- IT and Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of BIM processes, software, and workflows for infrastructures and buildings
- Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE) deployment
- Experience working with Bentley Software; Microstation, Open Buildings, Open Roads or OpenRail
- Knowledge of digital twin concepts and implementation strategies
- Proficiency in ISO 19650 standards and information management frameworks
- Professional Experience
- Experience working on Large Multidisciplinary Projects, ideally Rail Focused
