Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects as required
  • Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery
  • Interface with other disciplines and 3rd parties / external Engineers to ensure a multi-disciplinary design is developed, if appropriate to project specifications
  • Report updates to senior Engineers, technical leads and the project management team on project progress
  • Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and others affected by the operations of SYSTRA throughout design lifecycle
  • Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement
  • Continue your own professional development with support from SYSTRA in line with your professional body
  • Any other duties as required

Stakeholder accountabilities:

  • Interaction with internal disciplines, Project Managers and Engineers for project delivery across engineering and consultancy
  • Liaising with clients, joint venture partners and external contractors as required, attending client meetings when required

Profile:

  • Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, general LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing and fire alarms
  • Experience in the use of industry wide software for electrical calculation purposes
  • Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with railway lineside systems and/or the Built Environment
