The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

SYSTRA’s Bid team is responsible for pre-contract activity within SYSTRA Ltd. We are responsible for the Sales performance of the business, owning and managing corporate relationships and defining and implementing strategies to achieve planned growth in existing and new market areas. We are responsible for delivering the business’s larger and more complex bids, and supporting staff with smaller bids.

We are a mature business with a wide client base across the public and private sector in the UK and Ireland. We also support selected bids around the world for the global SYSTRA business.

We have a diverse portfolio of capability and experience, ranging from small projects supporting private sector developers through to nationally important infrastructure projects such as HS2, delivered by a 1000-strong team of employees across the UK and Ireland.

Main Function of Job

To achieve our ambitious targets for growth, the post holder will work as part of the Bid team to support all aspects of sales activity, including business development, marketing and tendering, with a particularly focus on delivering high quality winning tenders.

Main Duties

Duties associated with this post will include:-

  • Owning and managing the development of new tenders of all sizes
  • Supporting the bidding activity of the team
  • Completion of pre-qualification and tender documentation
  • Collation of information for bids and coordination of input from across the company
  • Building relationships with subconsultants and other partner organisations, and managing their inputs to bids
  • Compiling and editing CVs for submissions
  • Maintaining updating databases and resource repositories to support the bid function
  • Supporting business development activity as necessary including researching new and potential clients in support of the business development team
  • Supporting the marketing team in all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing including direct communications, development of intranet and website content and production of marketing collateral.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge

  • Degree in relevant subject (desirable not essential)
  • Interest in and/or knowledge of infrastructure, ideally the transport sector
  • Excellent experience/knowledge of commercial tendering processes, sales and marketing.
  • Understanding of the potential roles of consultants in infrastructure conception and design, with an understanding of typical roles and skills required for project delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Office
