About the Role
We are looking for a Mid Level Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a Mid Level engineer you will have the opportunity to work on new and existing projects with a key focus on AI powered systems - SystemsX has products ranging from Call Monitoring / QA Platforms, Travel Booking, Drag&Drop No-code builders, Chat bots, Meeting notetakers and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of scalable and high-performing backend applications.
- Take projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and smooth delivery.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to identify and resolve issues.
- Implement new features and functionality based on project specifications and user requirements.
- Maintain best practices for testing, security, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, framework changes and CVE.

About You
- Experience and understanding of Laravel & PHP (3+ years experience)
- Proficiency in writing maintainable, optimised and scalable code.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and API design.
- Experience with database management and advanced queries
- Technically minded - enjoy digging into data, analytics, and optimisations.
- Organised, independent, and results-focused — you thrive when given ownership and responsibility.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-manage.
Desirable Skills
- Interest in ML/AI and implementing it in production environments.
- Experience with Github, Ploi.io, Laravel Herd
- Experience with Vue/Alpine, Livewire
- Experience with Website scraping & NodeJS puppeteer
