We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our successful HR team. This role is home based with travel to our Kirkham (Lancashire) office twice a month.

Role and Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner is a trusted advisor to their allocated business areas, providing support to managers and employees, providing proactive and commercially focused people support across designated business areas.

Working closely with senior leaders, the HR Business Partner will help drive performance through effective people management, employee relations, engagement, and organisational change.

The role is responsible for ensuring people decisions align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

The successful candidate will be required to

  • Business Partnering
  • Build effective relationships with managers and leaders across allocated business areas.
  • Provide commercially focused HR advice and guidance.
  • Support leaders in delivering organisational objectives through effective people strategies.
  • Attend leadership and operational meetings as the HR representative where required.
  • Use people data and insights to inform recommendations and decision-making.
  • Employee Relations

• Lead and manage a range of employee relations matters, including

  • Absence management
  • Performance management
  • Disciplinary investigations and hearings
  • Grievances
  • Capability processes
  • Probation management
  • Ensure a consistent and legally compliant approach to case management.
  • Coach managers to build confidence and capability in handling people issues.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk matters where appropriate.
  • Organisational Change
  • Support restructures, departmental reviews and organisational change initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on consultation processes and employment law requirements.
  • Assist with business cases, redundancy processes and change communications.
  • Ensure change activity is managed professionally and in line with company values.
  • HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Support strategic HR initiatives and transformation projects.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Support the ongoing development and utilisation of HR systems.

Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to balance commercial considerations with employee wellbeing and legal compliance.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Experience within a multi-site or fast-paced commercial environment
  • Experience supporting organisational change programmes
  • Experience using HRIS platforms and reporting tools
