Technical Business Analyst – Data Warehouse
4-Month Contract
Remote – UK
SystemsAccountants is working with a leading UK organisation to recruit an experienced Business Analyst – Data Warehouse to support a major finance transformation programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analysing and documenting requirements for a new data warehouse solution, enabling complex financial reporting across multiple systems.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Data Architects and Business Intelligence teams, you will help define the requirements and support the design of a solution that meets the organisation's reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, validate and prioritise functional, technical, data and non-functional requirements.
- Review existing financial reporting requirements and identify data sources, business rules and reporting dependencies.
- Map and analyse complex data flows, transformations and integrations.
- Facilitate workshops with Finance, IT and technical stakeholders.
- Document current and future-state processes and support solution design discussions.
- Work closely with Data Architects, Enterprise Architects and BI teams to assess technical feasibility.
- Define acceptance criteria and support testing and UAT.
- Provide light-touch project management and coordination to ensure delivery against agreed timelines.
- Strong Business Analysis experience on technical and data-focused projects.
- Proven experience gathering requirements for data warehouse and complex reporting solutions.
- Experience identifying, mapping and analysing complex data flows.
- Good understanding of data warehousing, data integration and reporting.
- Experience working with Data Architects, Enterprise Architects and BI teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and requirements documentation skills.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT and project coordination.
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables within agreed timescales.
- Experience working on complex financial reporting projects.
- Finance transformation or financial systems experience.
- Experience working with Finance stakeholders.
