Planning Analytics Developer 12 month Fixed Term Contract Hybrid – 3 days a week in London office, 2 days a week at home. Office location – Central London Salary – £65,000 – £75,000 (dependant on experience) My leading Financial Services client are looking for an experienced Planning Analytics (TM1) Developer to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract to help optimise their budgeting and forecasting landscape. They are currently embarking on an exciting transformation programme and this role will give the right candidate the opportunity to get involved from day one. Job Duties System Assistance : Help develop and maintain the IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) system, including tasks like requirement analysis, design, testing, deployment, maintenance, and documentation. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business logic and identify opportunities for system improvements. Required Expertise TM1 Development : Skilled in TM1 Perspectives/Architect, including cubes, dimensions, advanced TI processes, rules, dynamic reporting (active forms), and workflows. Data Knowledge : Understanding of data modeling and warehousing principles. FP&A Familiarity : Knowledge of financial planning and analysis activities. Excel Proficiency : Advanced skills in Excel, including VBA. UI/UX Principles : Strong understanding of user interface and experience design. SQL Skills : Competent in SQL for querying databases and creating ETLs and reports. MDX Proficiency : Skilled in MDX for building dynamic subsets and views. Development Practices : Familiar with development lifecycle, TM1 coding best practices, and change management. IBM Planning Analytics : Proficient in IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) and Workspace (PAW). Power BI Skills : Capable in Power BI data modeling and dashboard development. Reporting Knowledge : Understanding of financial and regulatory reporting within banking. Education and Certifications Qualified Accountant : Preferred but not mandatory. Experience TM1 Development : Over 5 years of experience in TM1 development, ideally within a small team in the financial services sector. Personal Qualities Self-Motivation : Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Process Improvement : Actively seeks opportunities to enhance and automate processes. Customer Support : Excellent skills in supporting end users. Communication : Clear and concise communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
