The Client

Their consultancy provides services that span the entire journey from acknowledging business issues to design, implementation, training, and ongoing support, ensuring customers can trust the decisions they make.
The Role
The senior Consultant will take a leading role across the delivery and engagement of Financial Consolidation and reporting (FCR) and FP&A functions. Taking ownership of the end-to-end technical solution, act as a trusted advisor to Company stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s delivery excellence and business growth. As a lead consultant you will also take part in mentoring and developing members of the team and contribute to sales processes to help and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical solution on client engagements — from design and planning through to delivery and adoption.
- Act as the technical escalation point, managing project progress, risks, and scope.
- Lead workshops with senior stakeholders, applying structured problem-solving to define clear recommendations.
- Identify when to propose technical versus process or people-change solutions, advising clients with confidence and expertise.
- Manage client relationships effectively at all levels, communicating difficult messages diplomatically and challenging constructively where needed.
- Lead complex discussions with senior and executive stakeholders, adapting style to audience and context.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Anaplan and partner organisations.
Technical experience required
- Consulting experience with end-to-end implementation lifecycle expertise.
- Solution Architect with delivery experience of an FP&A and/or Financial Consolidation tool.
- Applications of interest are OneStream, SAP BPC, HFM, FCCS, Tagetik, Board, …
- Deep expertise in FP&A and financial consolidation and reporting processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with commercial awareness to manage scope.
- Hands‑on build experience of Anaplan or similar EPM application.
- Technical coding language with Python, SQL, VB.Net …
- Previous experience of mentoring junior team members.
- Professional Accounting qualification such as ACA/ICAW, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, desirable.
- Business development and interest in Pre‑sales activity a plus but not essential.
