About The Company
Our client is a speciality chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the West Midlands who are looking for a Polymer & Formulation Chemist. This is an exciting role with a long-established, innovative chemical manufacturer with a proud history and a strong future. You\’ll work on the synthesis, testing, and development of novel rubber accelerators and polymer compounds for global markets.
Polymer Chemist – Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Applied Chemistry, Elastomer Technology, or related field.
- Laboratory experience (rubber/polymer knowledge an advantage, but not essential).
- Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- A hands-on, problem-solving approach with a genuine passion for materials science.
Polymer Chemist – Responsibilities
- Synthesise novel rubber accelerators and develop new polymer compounds for a variety of applications.
- Conduct research, experimentation, and analysis on new and existing materials.
- Perform analytical and physical testing of rubber products and interpret results.
- Provide technical support to production, quality control, and sales teams.
No rubber experience? No problem – full training provided, including a Diploma in Rubber Technology. Clear progression to Senior Polymer Chemist for the right candidate.
