Systems Inc is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer in Leicester. This hybrid position requires a visit to the Northamptonshire office once a week. Paying between £45,000 and £50,000 depending on experience. This role includes a brand-new company car, uncapped commission, bonus and a range of benefits.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects end-to-end: enquiry handling, site visits, specification, design, quoting, scheduling, installation, and customer handover
- Work with the Project Coordinator to plan projects, create Gantt charts, and manage resources and timelines
- Liaise with clients, ensuring clear communication and smooth project delivery
- Support the team where needed, with shadowing at the start to learn internal processes
- Take ownership of your projects, maintaining oversight from start to finish
- Travel to client sites within ~1 hour of Northampton (national projects may arise)
Requirements
- Proven experience in project engineering or mechanical design, ideally within ventilation, dust, or fume extraction systems
- Strong technical knowledge including design and specification of systems; AutoCAD/3D software experience is a plus
- Highly proactive, confident in following up on opportunities and closing deals
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Personality and attitude are key: collaborative, hands‑on, and able to fit into a close‑knit, high‑performing team
