Mobile Generator Service Engineer - Diesel Generators

Swansea / Cardiff / Bristol – up to £45,000

About the Company

We’re a leading service provider in South Wales and Bristol, delivering mobile generator maintenance and repair services across the region. As a Mobile Generator Engineer, you will travel regularly to client sites, maintaining and troubleshooting generators ranging from 20kVA to 1250kVA, and documenting all work to ensure accurate service records.

  • Basic salary up to £45,000
  • On‑target earnings (OTE) £55,000 plus Company van (business and personal use)

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Experience servicing generators of at least 20kVA, preferably up to 500kVA, including fault finding and repairs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with soldering techniques and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of system design principles and methodologies.
  • Mechanical knowledge for system integration.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in the generator industry or a similar field.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.
  • Flexible, self‑motivated, and willing to undertake new training, which may require temporary relocation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer‑focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Valid driving licence with no more than 6 points.
