b Overview /b p As Product Safety Engineer, you ensure products and systems meet safety legislation, standards, and customer requirements across the full engineering lifecycle. You will lead safety activities, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and translate regulations into practical actions. You’ll work across sites with a flexible approach and have a meaningful impact on safety documentation, verification, and compliance. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid/flexible working arrangements /li li 25 days’ annual leave (+ buy/sell) /li li Up to 16 days flexi leave /li li Private medical health insurance /li li Group Pension Plan with up to 8% employer contribution /li li Cycle to work scheme /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead safety activities across concept to disposal for products and systems /li li Identify hazards and assess risks; define proportionate risk reduction measures /li li Develop and maintain safety documentation (hazard logs, safety plans, safety cases) /li li Collaborate with systems, mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to ensure safety requirements and traceability /li li Review designs, test evidence, and change proposals to keep risks acceptable /li li Support verification, validation, certification, and compliance activities including testing, design reviews, audits, and file preparation /li li Provide safety advice to project teams, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders /li li Monitor legislation and standards, translating changes into engineering actions /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Professional registration or working towards registration (EngTech, IEng, or CEng) /li li Experience in engineering, manufacturing, defence, or technology environment /li li Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety assurance principles /li li Experience producing safety documentation and technical reports /li li Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain safety issues to diverse stakeholders /li li Structured, analytical approach and ability to manage multiple projects /li /ul ul li Strong communication /li li Analytical mindset /li li Attention to detail /li li FMEA /li li FTA /li li HAZID /li /ul
