About the role
Engineer to Protect is our promise – protecting what matters: our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world. This role partners with management and key stakeholders to support the business in achieving the company strategy and business objectives. It is an excellent opportunity for someone to grow within a business‑partnering model. The salary for this role is up to £50k, depending on experience. HR Business Partner role allows flexible working but does require being onsite three days a week across Beckington and Bristol sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide‑ranging, full employee life‑cycle HR Business Partnering service to management and employees, ensuring that all managers have the necessary tools and capability to professionally manage and develop themselves and their people.
- Use key people analytics to inform decisions and make recommendations to senior stakeholders. Use data and metrics to identify potential issues and support decision‑making that drives employee engagement.
- Work with Line Managers and their cohort to create solutions to people issues that enable stakeholders to better meet their commercial objectives.
- Support and act as cover for the Payroll and Benefits Officer, learning the payroll methodology and working together on benefit‑related projects to guide the business to the most impactful benefits offering for our colleagues.

Required skills
- Relevant Degree and/or CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Experience as an HR generalist, ideally with some Business Partnering experience or a keen desire to develop in this area
- Proven background in adding value and improving operational efficiencies
- Excellent listening, verbal, numerical and written communication skills
- Strong relationship‑management skills at managerial and key stakeholder levels
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience working in an engineering environment is desirable
