About The Role

As Production Engineering Manager, you'll be accountable for the leadership of SEA's production engineering team, ensuring that manufacturing processes and equipment are safe, efficient, controlled and capable of delivering on quality, time, and cost. Production Engineering Manager will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £70k, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leadership of Production Engineering – Responsible for ensuring people, processes and tools are appropriately aligned to our strategic objectives, supporting completion of SEA’s product development and project delivery activities championing Safety, Quality, Delivery and cost (SQDC).
  • Production Engineering Execution – Ownership of CAPEX budgets and project plans to enhance production layout, capacity and capability.
  • Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement – Champion improvements across all production areas and support root cause investigations.
  • People Leadership – Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and guidance to members of the Production engineering team.

The skills you need:

  • Previous Production engineering experience in a low volume / high variety manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience as a line manager
  • Ability to multi‑task and adjust priorities as appropriate
  • Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001; AS9100 experience desirable
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
  • Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate at all levels
