As Subcontract Manager, you'll play a critical role in SEAs Commercial team to manage, support and scrutinise commercial aspects of supplier contracts. You'll negotiate sub-contracts, support make-vs-buy decisions and work with technical teams and project managers to produce and issue statements of work. This role is available at an exciting time for SEA, as we anticipate a period of growth across our Defence division. You'll see your work making a real impact on the commercial excellence of our defence output, making this a great step in your career. The Subcontract Manager will be based at our Bristol site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £65k, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Negotiation of sub-contracts, including appropriate customer flow down, to support project budget constraints and achieve timely performance whilst minimising programme risk and exploiting programme opportunities.
- Monitor and manage contracts, subcontracts and service agreements to ensure that all parties adhere to the conditions.
- Contribute to respective make-vs-buy decisions pertaining to potential sub-contracts.
- Professionally represent the business at supplier meetings held both on site and at the suppliers' premises.
