We're seeking a Senior Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer who excels in automation, infrastructure as code, and improving software delivery processes. This role focuses on GitLab CI/CD, Windows image creation for physical or virtualized environments, and Terraform-based infrastructure management. The Senior Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer will be based at our Bristol site. This role allows for flexible working, with office visits on an as-required basis. The salary for this role is up to £65k, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage the self-hosted Gitlab environment, including designing, maintaining, and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment workflows, along with software upgrades of the platform.
- Maintain code and Docker repositories.
- Identify where to utilize Terraform for automation and to ensure consistency and repeatability, and implement where appropriate.
- Build secure-by-design Windows images for products across our Maritime and Underwater Battlespace departments, utilizing appropriate technologies to ensure security, consistency, and reliability.
- Understand and apply DevSecOps principles, working with the Infrastructure Lead and Information Assurance.
