About The Role
Engineered to Protect, that’s our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world. Coordinating and controlling Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) held for the MoD in support of SEA contracts, owning end-to-end GFE control processes, ensuring full compliance with MoD requirements and the latest industry GFE management standards. Inventory Controller will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £30k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Co-ordinate the timely accurate management of GFE stocks, in full compliance with MOD requirements; ensuring processes are followed, non-compliance is identified and corrected promptly.
- Controlling and maintaining master data, transactional records and documents to ensure the accurate generation of MOD stock reports and certificates.
- Co-ordinate quarterly and annual stock counts, carrying out periodic auditing and stock checks to comply with the MOD’s reporting cycle.

The skills you need:
- Detailed understanding of stock control processes within 3rd party Stores
- Experience of various manual and computerised stock control systems
- Confident with Excel, as well as control reports and transaction audit reports
- Numerate, methodical with great attention to detail, whilst working to deadlines
- Problem solver, with ability to dig deep into inventory records to find and correct issues
- Understanding of MOD requirements in the control of GFE in industry would be desirable
- Flexible and able to add value in a business where change and continuous improvement are the norm
