Production Engineering Technical Author will create, maintain and manage manufacturing documentation throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring documentation is accurate, configuration controlled and aligned to approved product definitions.

Production Engineering Technical Author will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 4-5 days a week.

The salary for this role is circa Β£30k, depending on experience.

WhatyoullbedoingPrimary responsibilities: Lead the creation, maintenance and configuration control of manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, Build Records and work instructions, ensuring alignment with approved product definitions. Maintain PLM document control, tooling records and documentation standards, while supporting manufacturing data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement through accurate and traceable production information.

Secondary responsibilities: Support Production Engineering activities through documentation development, NPI and manufacturing readiness activities, process standardisation, knowledge management and training. Drive continuous improvement in documentation quality, accessibility and efficiency, support digitalisation and automation initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of tooling management, governance and lifecycle control processes.
