Provides electrical drafting support using Zuken E3 to produce accurate schematics, wiring diagrams and layouts, maintain high-quality ECAD documentation, follow defined standards, and contribute to consistent drafting outputs within the ECAD drafting team.

This role allows for flexible home working. The salary for this role is up to £44k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Produce accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using Zuken E3.
  • Maintain compliance with drafting standards and support the creation and updating of ECAD documentation.
  • Assist in sustaining the electrical parts library, ensuring data consistency and supporting project delivery needs.
  • Interpret engineering inputs and translate them into clear drafting deliverables.
  • Support configuration control processes for drawings and library items.
  • Collaborate with electrical design, manufacturing and build teams to resolve documentation queries and ensure clarity in electrical definition.
  • Contribute to improvements in drafting processes, standards and templates.
  • Assist with planning drafting activities and estimating task durations.
  • Participate in team reviews and incorporate feedback.
  • Support wider departmental initiatives relating to ECAD quality, standardisation and continuous improvement.

  • Experience in using Zuken E3 for creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and layouts.
  • Electrical drafting ability, producing clear, accurate and standards-compliant documentation.
  • Understanding of electrical parts library usage, including the ability to update and maintain existing library items under guidance.
  • Experience contributing to drafting process improvements or supporting standardisation activities.
  • Awareness of electrical manufacturing and assembly practices, improving documentation clarity and build friendliness.
  • Familiarity with configuration control and engineering change processes, enabling effective governance of drafting outputs.
