As a Senior Combat Systems Engineer, you will support our Complex systems division as a Naval Systems Integration Process Service (NSIPS) Subject Matter Expert and provide team leadership and guidance. You will be based at either our Barnstaple, Bristol or Beckington sites and allows for flexible working, including home working where appropriate. This role allows for flexible working patterns including home working (with attendance at SEAs offices being minimal - typically only required for quarterly progress meetings in Bristol and other occasional, irregular meetings at SEAs premises). The position also has an occasional requirement to visit RN vessels in HM Naval Bases Portsmouth and Devonport - so the position could well suit candidates with a home location within easy travel of those areas. The salary for this role is up to £65k, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing:
- NSIPS Service Delivery and team leadership
- Conducting of Ship/Submarine combat system audits and NSIPS related bid and enquiry work
- Wider capability area technical project work for naval system related activities as well as Capability Area TAF and enquiry work

The skills you need:
- Expert, comprehensive working knowledge of surface ship combat systems
- Line management and/or team leadership capability
- Systems Engineering Awareness
- Data management skills
- Full driving license desirable
- Working knowledge of surface ship and/or submarine combat systems
- Able to understand and manage large volumes of interface data
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
