About The Role
You will be supporting the manufacture of new equipment, through assembly of parts supplied against detailed drawings, working to company safety and quality standards as appropriate. Skilled Assembly Technician will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £32k, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing
- Primary responsibility - Providing skilled electro/mechanical assembly service to new build and legacy contract operations.
- Secondary responsibility - Generate reports as required following equipment survey and appropriate test reports following functional testing.
- Tertiary responsibility - Provide flexible and proactive approach that would allow movement between other areas of factory, also if skilled appropriately run some of the machine tools owned by the business.

The skills you need
- Experience in an electro/mechanical assembly role
- Completed a recognised engineering based training programme or have appropriate experience
- Be able to understand and work from complex engineering drawings
- Work as part of a team or individually as workload requires
- Be able to generate reports and documentation that could be used to create repair plans and replacement part purchasing lists
- Be comfortable working with either electrical or mechanical equipment
