About The Role

The candidate must be capable of filling a Assembly Technician position within SEAs Production Department in Barnstaple reporting to the Cell Lead.
Assembly Technician will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week.
The salary for this role is up to £28.5k, depending on experience.
Whatyoullbedoing
- Working in a multi-skilled production team you will be responsible for providing assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams. Working closely with the Wiring Technicians, Test Technicians and Engineers to make sure our products are delivered to customers on time and with the highest quality standards
- Training support for company apprentices to gain experience with machine tools, developing the individuals skills, promoting shop H&S and instilling good housekeeping culture

Theskills you need
- Previous experience working in a skilled assembly technician/mechanical assembly or electro-mechanical role.
- You will be able to follow these instructions to create a full assembly using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills
- Have good practical skills, where attention to detail is essential, requiring the minimum levels of supervision
- Ideally you will have completed a relevant engineering or technical apprenticeship, have an NVQ Level 3 or have significant experience in a relevant role
- Ability to use a soldering iron and be familiar with wiring operations would also be advantageous
