adi Lean Manufacturing and Design β Design Engineer
Location β Tyburn, Birmingham
About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will collaborate with the current engineering team to design jigs and fixtures, assembly benches, as well as semi-automated and automated production cells. Your expertise will be integral in optimising our clients\β manufacturing processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with the lean manufacturing and design team to design machinery for the automotive, aerospace, and other industries related to the services provided by the division.
- Designing fixtures, jigs, assembly benches, and semi-automated to fully automated machines to assist customers in their manufacturing processes.
- Issuing manufacturing drawings and coordinating with the workshop.
- Following up with manufacturing to ensure accurate interpretation of drawings and successful project execution.
- Overseeing project commissioning.
- Liaising with customers to build and maintain relationships.
- Ensuring that all designs for projects meet company standards.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience with SolidWorks and PDM.
- Extensive experience in a design or mechanical engineering role is essential.
- Experience with Catia V5 in Mechanical Design is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks.
- A full UK driving license.
