Our Group Finance team, based at the Group Head Office, plays a central role in delivering high‑quality consolidated Management and Statutory Financial reporting. At the heart of this process is SAP BPC, a critical system used not only by Finance but also by wider business functions to collect and manage key data. To support the continued stability, accuracy, and development of this high‑profile system, we are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced Systems Accountant specialising in SAP BPC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands‑on technical expertise with close collaboration across Finance and the wider business. Hybrid working is available, with the flexibility of working from home 3 to 4 days a week.
Role Overview
SAP BPC is an established application implemented 15 years ago. The consolidation system is managed by a small, dedicated team responsible for:
- Supporting users during month‑end, year‑end, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
- Maintaining and developing the system
- Managing ad‑hoc requests
- Working closely with Group Reporting and Group FP&A
We are seeking someone who can bring both functional and technical SAP BPC expertise, ensuring the system remains robust, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Issue Resolution
- Act as the primary contact for SAP BPC queries, providing timely and professional support
- Guide users through data submissions, validation issues, and reporting queries
- Document recurring issues and solutions to improve user self‑service
- Complete pre‑month‑end tasks including exchange rate uploads, user setup, process openings, and IFRS16 lease updates
Technical Support & System Development
- Maintain and enhance SAP BPC models, business rules, logic scripts, and process flows
- Follow a controlled development lifecycle, including transports to Production
- Build and update EPM reports and input templates, including VBA‑enabled functionality
Continuous Improvement
- Automate data uploads and ETL processes to streamline data entry
- Strengthen departmental controls and processes
- Support the creation of training materials and process documentation
Experience & Skills
Technical Competencies
- Strong hands‑on SAP BPC experience, including model updates, business rules, logic scripts, and Production transports
- Skilled in maintaining EPM reports and VBA‑based templates
- Understanding of data integration and import template design
- Strong problem‑solving ability, particularly in diagnosing SAP BPC user issues
- Good understanding of consolidation accounting principles
