SystemsAccountants are currently working with a technology-driven business looking for a hands-on SAP B1 and Business Applications Manager to own and optimise its enterprise systems portfolio. You'll lead a small team of SAP Business One and Power BI specialists, drive process improvement, and manage application projects end-to-end. This role will sit at the crossroads of business operations and IT delivery.
Role Responsibilities
- Own and administer key business applications including SAP Business One and Power BI.
- Configure, maintain, and optimise systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Manage issue resolution from triage through to vendor escalation.
- Lead end-to-end business process mapping and redesign, identifying inefficiencies and embedding controls.
- Manage the full project lifecycle for implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
- Coordinate testing, training, change management, and post-go-live support.
- Act as the bridge between business teams, IS, and third-party vendors.
- Deliver user training and facilitate continuous improvement forums.
- Collaborate with data teams to improve reporting structures and resolve data quality issues.
Role Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing SAP Business One within an organisation.
- At least 3+ years of experience with SAP Business One.
- Experience as an Applications/Systems Manager within multi-entity global organisations.
- Strong process mapping skills, including tools such as Visio.
- Proven project management experience; formal qualifications welcome but not essential.
- Confident communicator across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing small teams.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL T-SQL and SQL database administration.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
- Desirable: experience with system implementations, API/integration technologies, ITIL or Agile frameworks, Prince2/LEAN, or PHP maintenance.
