SystemsAccountants are partnering with a leading Technology business to source a Workday Financials Project Manager to lead a post go-live optimisation project. The role is critical to maximising the ROI on Workday Financials through continuous improvement, improving user adoption and strategic system enhancement.
The Role:
- System Optimization & Enhancements: Lead post-implementation optimization projects to improve system performance, user experience, and business process efficiency. Identify and prioritize system enhancement opportunities based on business needs and ROI analysis. Coordinate with technical teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. Manage rollout of new modules, features, and integrations to expand system capabilities. Track decisions, project plans and outcomes from the Governance Committee.
- Stakeholder Management & User Adoption: Partner with department heads and end-users to identify pain points and improvement opportunities. Establish feedback loops to capture user requirements and system performance issues continuously. Maintain momentum through stakeholder engagement, ensuring everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities and shares project statuses.
- Business Process Improvements: Lead process standardization initiatives across business units. Coordinate with process owners to implement best practices and eliminate inefficiencies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Manage relationships with ERP vendors, system integrators, and third-party consultants. Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver project objectives. Negotiate contracts and manage budgets for ongoing system support and enhancements. Oversee vendor performance and service level agreements.
About you:
- 5+ years of project management experience with enterprise software implementations.
- Workday Finance PM experience (minimum 2 years).
- Demonstrated experience in post-implementation support and system optimisation.
- Strong understanding of ERP architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Knowledge of data migration, system integration, and business intelligence concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all organisational levels.
