Systems Accountants is partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation to source a talented Systems Accountant to join their Group Consolidations and Reporting team. This newly created role offers a unique blend of hands-on systems work, month-end and year-end responsibilities, and project-based reporting initiatives. You’ll work alongside an experienced Systems Accountant and report directly to the Group Financial Controller, gaining exposure to group-level financial processes in a complex international environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead monthly group consolidations using Cognos Controller
- Manage ledger operations, FX rate loading, and group-level journal postings
- Support internal reporting and year-end audit processes
- Provide Level 2 systems support and liaise with external IT providers
- Maintain user access and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Extract and reconcile data from ERP systems (Infor SunSystems or similar)
- Automate reporting tasks using Excel VBA and build templates for recurring and ad hoc reports
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience with Cognos Controller in a group finance setting
- Strong understanding of month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany processes
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Infor SunSystems, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA macro development
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
