An exciting opportunity has arisen with a fast-growing, international cloud finance software company for an Implementation Consultant with a strong understanding of finance business processes and a passion for applying technology to solve real customer problems.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role within the Consulting team, combining finance expertise, system learning, process improvement, configuration, training and problem‑solving to deliver software implementations and ongoing support for a wide range of customers.

Strong candidates may come from accounting, finance systems, financial control, finance transformation or business partnering backgrounds. The role would particularly suit someone with Financial Controller-level experience, or someone who has become the go‑to person for improving finance processes, investigating system issues and leading change. Experience in property, financial services or adjacent sectors is a plus. There are clear development pathways into Consulting seniority, Solutions (pre‑sales), or Product Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of the platform for new customers — design, configuration, testing, training and go‑live support.
  • Lead finance and business process workshops with customers, including senior stakeholders.
  • Translate client needs into practical system solutions, and advise customers through process change.
  • Collaborate with the project management team and resource manager to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Support live customers with ad‑hoc consultancy throughout their customer journey.
  • Troubleshoot system, configuration, process and data issues in a structured, clearly‑communicated way.
  • Lead data migration, reconciliation, UAT and go‑live readiness activity.
  • Manage third‑party and customer‑side relationships across all levels of seniority.
  • Support pre‑sales efforts — solution scoping, demonstrations and proposal input — where finance or sector expertise adds value.
  • Willingness to travel is essential.

Essential Experience

  • At least part‑qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Practical experience in a finance, accounting, finance systems or ERP implementation role.
  • Strong understanding of core finance and business processes.
  • Evidence of improving finance processes, implementing systems, acting as a system super‑user, or contributing to finance transformation.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently and form practical recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, including explaining finance/system topics to non‑specialists.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable Experience

  • Financial Controller, Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Analyst, Senior Finance Business Partnering or Finance Transformation experience.
  • ERP implementation experience (e.g. Unit4/Agresso, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle or similar), as consultant or in‑house.
  • Experience as an internal ERP super‑user, process owner, UAT lead or implementation partner point of contact.
  • Experience in property, financial services or adjacent sectors.
  • Practical experience across management/financial accounting, project accounting/billing, multi‑currency reporting, multi‑company consolidation, or purchasing/stock accounting.
  • Pre‑sales, solution scoping, demonstration or proposal experience.
