About the Role
A well established organisation is seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Support Developer to assist with the ongoing support and maintenance of its cloud-based reporting and performance management platform.
This position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in business intelligence, data reporting, and enterprise systems.
Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will help resolve user issues, support reporting requirements, perform routine platform administration tasks, and contribute to testing and system improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and manage support requests in accordance with agreed service standards.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve user reported system and reporting issues.
- Assist in the creation, testing, and deployment of reports and dashboards.
- Provide support for business users involved in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting activities.
- Monitor data processing activities, scheduled tasks, and system integrations.
- Carry out routine administration, maintenance, and monitoring of business systems.
- Escalate more complex technical issues to senior team members as appropriate.
- Support testing activities relating to system updates, enhancements, and new functionality.
- Create and maintain support documentation, process guides, and knowledge resources.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of reporting processes and system performance.
- Provide additional support during key financial and operational reporting periods.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a business intelligence, reporting, systems support, application support, or similar technical role.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of data structures, reporting principles, and information systems.
- Experience working with service management or ticketing platforms.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to enterprise reporting, analytical, planning, or performance management platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data query languages.
- Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting processes.
- Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools.
- Relevant qualification, degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Systems, or a related discipline.
