We are urgently looking for an enthusiastic IT professional to join our technical services team ideally based around the Doncaster - Leeds area. We need a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join an international client. The role is split between home/remote working and regular travel to the clients other sites (based around the UK) as and when required, with occasional office visits to Doncaster. This is an urgent role to start immediately (as soon as possible).
Responsibilities include:
- Resolve Laptop/desktop and Networking problems liaising with users where necessary.
- Provide support and maintenance for application software.
- Assist in the technical implementation of PC Hardware applications for use in a user environment.
- Ensure that Software/Hardware implementation follows the change control guidelines, procedures and methodology.
- Incident and request resolution.
- Support for incidents and Service Support requests from other groups (Including distributed Servers and printers).
- Equipment maintenance and hardware repair.
- Delivery of ready-to-use computers.
- Software licenses migration from the old equipment to the new one.
- Obtain the user approval for each installation done.
- Connection and start-up of the equipment at the destination point.
- Performance tests of the equipment.
- Maintenance and equipment repair including software updates or hardware changes.
ESSENTIAL: Driving licence and own vehicle.

- MS Windows
- Target Driven (meeting SLAs)
- Knowledge of Laptop and Desktop Hardware/Software
- Networking Recovery, Updating and Installation of Hardware and Software
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
