We are currently looking for an IT Operations Analyst for our life sciences client.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Our client is a global life sciences organization with a diverse and distributed technology environment supporting critical business and research operations. They are seeking an IT Analyst to support day-to-day IT operations at a South England location, providing hands-on technical support and operational continuity as part of their global IT operations function. This role will support infrastructure, end-user computing, and service desk activities within a fast-paced, regulated environment and will work closely with regional and global IT teams.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing user and administrative support for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Acting as a point of escalation for 1st and 2nd line support issues
  • Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware, software, and system issues
  • Executing routine IT operational tasks such as backups and system checks
  • Configuring, installing, and deploying IT equipment and related peripherals
  • Ensuring compliance with established IT policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Developing working knowledge of department-specific and enterprise applications
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness
  • Logging, tracking, and resolving incidents and requests through service desk and hotline systems
  • Contributing to service level targets and departmental performance indicators
  • Providing end-user training and guidance as required

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Location: South England (Onsite)
  • Duration: 6-month contract
  • Work hours: Full-time, aligned to local business hours

ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in a 2nd line support role, or a strong 1st line background with readiness to progress into 2nd line support
  • Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field
  • Current or recent professional IT certifications are an asset
  • Strong experience supporting end-user desktop environments
  • Good working knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft operating systems and Office applications
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and use diagnostic tools effectively
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based IT environment
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
