We are looking for a Junior Business Intelligence developer to join the Reporting Technology team in London. The position focuses on supporting the delivery of data and reporting initiatives, helping produce accurate and meaningful insights into business performance. You will work closely with experienced Business Intelligence professionals and senior stakeholders, contributing to the development of reports, dashboards, data processes, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, following best practices for usability and performance.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform and prepare the data required for the reports.
  • Build and maintain semantic models ensuring they are clean, accurate, and ready for consumption.
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to support reporting processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into data and reporting deliveries.
  • Investigate data issues, support troubleshooting activities, and help ensure accurate reporting data.
  • Contribute to improving data quality, reporting standards, and system efficiency.
  • Track assigned tasks in Jira and ensure the Kanban status is kept up to date.
  • Maintain appropriate level of documentation in Confluence.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Up to 2 years’ experience supporting BI, reporting, or data-related activities (internship, placement, or professional experience).
  • Hands‑on experience analysing data and producing reports using Power BI.
  • Understanding of data modelling, data extraction, and data transformation concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis (at least 1 year experience using SQL).
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, investigate data queries, and support problem resolution.
  • Team‑oriented with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.

Beneficial

  • Experience using Python for data analysis or transformation is highly advantageous.
  • Experience building reports related to investment funds performance, risk or PnL.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from a leading university; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Power BI certifications is a plus.
