b Overview /b p In this role you will be the customer-facing engineer delivering tactical communications and C2 software in defence environments. You’ll work across disciplines to deploy, integrate and test solutions that support battlefield decision-making, collaborating with a cross-functional team. The role combines hands-on delivery with continuous improvement for Defence customers in the UK and overseas. You’ll thrive on solving mission-critical challenges and contributing to international, impactful projects. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid working policy /li li domestic and international travel (~50%) /li li opportunity to work on defence-critical projects /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide remote and on-site support to customers, including during military exercises /li li Manage software installation, configuration and support in C4I environments for tests, training, and operations /li li Set up and test integrations between C4I products and coalition systems, sensors, effectors and communication systems /li li Design, implement and support technical solutions /li li Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment /li li Deliver technical training to customers, administrators and users /li li Provide level 1–2 support for C4I software, installation, integration, and end-users /li li Keep up to date with product roadmaps to maximise customer value /li li Ensure projects are delivered within scope and on time /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Bachelor or Master in a mathematical, computer-related, or related discipline /li li Experience delivering software solutions in customer environments (≥2 years) /li li Windows, Linux, Android OS, Active Directory, DBMS, XMPP /li li Java, C#, JavaScript /li li Deploying software in cloud and on-premises environments /li li Containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher) /li li Knowledge of military command information systems, tactical radio devices and radio networks (desirable), ITIL (desirable) /li li Knowledge of network management and fault-finding/debugging /li li Right to work in the UK and ability to meet UK Security Check requirements /li /ul ul li customer-focused /li li collaborative /li li solutions-oriented /li li Windows /li li Linux /li li Android-based operating systems /li /ul
