Job purpose: Responsible for the remanufacture, diagnosis and testing of various types of automotive electrical motors and mechanical products such as Alternators, Fuel Pumps, Electric Motors, Generators, Starter Motors, Turbochargers, Hydraulic Systems and Pumps.
Job Duties:
- Assess overall condition of product.
- Strip unit in accordance with work instructions.
- Carry out electronic fault finding to component level.
- Evaluate commercial viability and availability of parts before commencing work.
- Assess individual components to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Carry out necessary repair works to agreed standards.
- Test product to OE specification.
Requirement/Experience/Competence/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive electronic fault finding to component level.
- Knowledge of PCB rework methods (soldering, reflow, and repair techniques).
- Ability to read and interpret electronic circuits and schematic drawings.
