Medical Calibration Engineer

Home based role covering London and the South East. As a Medical Calibration Engineer you will travel to client sites to service and repair sensitive medical devices and instrumentation in hospitals, health centres and clinics etc.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Home based London and the South East with occasional trips around the UK as required. Ideally you will be living in London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex.

A successful, high profile company providing calibration and repair services for Medical Equipment and Healthcare Instrumentation require a Medical Calibration Engineer.

You will work from home and travel to site to calibrate and carry out basic maintenance (and occasional repair work) on equipment at hospitals, clinics, health centres etc. After completion of initial training you will be working alone but will have comprehensive technical and administrative back-up. You will liaise with health service workers on a day-to-day basis in the course of your work.

As a Medical Calibration Engineer you will have;

  • Basic electronic debug skills including the use of debug equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and procedures.
  • At least 3 years commercial experience in a similar role calibrating sensitive electronic equipment
  • Be qualified to HNC/HND in an appropriate electronics, science or engineering discipline.
  • A clean driving license with good navigation skills

Being the face of the company on client sites, you should have a smart personal appearance, excellent organisational abilities, good communication and customer care skills and be able to work under pressure when required.

The role will suit individuals currently working as a Calibration Engineer – Medical Equipment, Electronics Repair Engineer, Bench Engineer, Laboratory Instrumentation Technician, Medical Device Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Electronics Engineer with knowledge of Hearing, Audiology, Audiometric, Acoustic and Vibration instrumentation and living within a commutable distance of London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex or be willing to relocate.
