Location: Home based with travel across Northern England. Ideal candidates based in Liverpool, Warrington, Preston, Blackburn, Huddersfield, Manchester, Leeds, York, Bradford, Lancashire, Yorkshire.

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 Depending on Experience + Car Allowance and Benefits.

An established and rapidly expanding Health & Safety Consultancy are looking for an experienced Legionella Consultant / Water Hygiene Risk Assessor - Northern England to join the Team. The successful candidate will travel across the North of England and Midlands to undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and other Legionella control based consultancy in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019.
  • Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers.
  • Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction and management of risk.
  • Collating and producing comprehensive reports.
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of carrying out Legionella risk assessments and ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background.
  • Suitable experience across multiple sectors is desirable (education / healthcare / commercial etc).
  • Suitable experience across multiple water system types is desirable (evaporative cooling / hot and cold water systems / spas and hot tubs / swimming pools).
  • An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification eg. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc.
  • A good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04-01 & other relevant Guidance Documents.
  • Must have a keen understanding of the risk assessment concept and how to apply it to Legionella control.
  • Will have a good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.
  • Willing to travel and do overnight stays.
