An established and rapidly expanding Health & Safety Consultancy is looking for an experienced Legionella Consultant / Water Hygiene Risk Assessor to join the team. The successful candidate will travel across Northern England and the Midlands to undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and other Legionella control-based consultancy in line with COSHH regulations, ACoP L8, HTM 04-01, and BS 8580-1:2019.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations, ACoP L8, HTM 04-01, and BS 8580-1:2019.
- Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers.
- Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction, and management of risk.
- Collating and producing comprehensive reports.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 2 years' experience of carrying out Legionella risk assessments, ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background.
- Suitable experience across multiple sectors is desirable (education, healthcare, commercial, etc.).
- Suitable experience across multiple water system types is desirable (evaporative cooling, hot and cold water systems, spas and hot tubs, swimming pools).
- An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc).
- A good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04-01, and other relevant Guidance Documents.
- Must have a keen understanding of the risk assessment concept and how to apply it to Legionella control.
- Good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies, and water regulations governing these.
- Willing to travel and do overnight stays.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Legionella Consultant Water Hygiene Risk Assessor, Risk Assessor, Water Hygiene Consultant, Health and Safety Consultant, or Water Consultant, and be living close to Leeds, York, Bradford, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Manchester, or be willing to relocate.
