Well established manufacturing firm require a Design Assistant to join their busy design office near Oldham. The successful candidate will report to the technical design Manager and support the team with a broad range of duties.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Processing and modifying general arrangement drawings
- Producing bills of materials to specific order requirements
- Dealing with customer queries both verbally and via email
- Occasionally assisting with site surveys throughout the UK
- Various administrative tasks within the technical department
Role Requirements:
- Strong foundation in manufacturing or construction processes
- Practical understanding of how structures are built and how components interact
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and assembly methods
- General computer skills
- High attention to detail
