Established firm in Leicester specialising in the manufacture of precision high quality plastic injection moulds are actively looking for an Injection Mould Tool Finisher.
Experience:
- A general understanding of how to safely use toolroom equipment and machinery.
- Minimum of 5 years in a toolmaking company or similar industry considered.
- Fork lift license desirable but not essential.
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings both 2D and 3D is desirable.
- Can check their own work using Vernier callipers, gauge blocks, dial test indicators and micrometres.
Key responsibilities:
- Manual grinding
- Manual milling
- Fitting of inserts, shut off of tool halves
- Assembly/disassembly of mould tools
- Polishing of tooling inserts
- Drilling cooling channels in mould plates
The role will suit individuals currently working as Injection Mould Tool Finisher, Toolmaker, Mechanical Engineer, Injection Mould Engineer and be living within a commutable distance of Leicester, Coventry, Loughborough, Hinckley, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray or be willing to relocate.
