Location: Home based covering Northern England and Scotland, commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston, Bradford, Leeds, York, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Carlisle.

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + OTE + Car

Sales Engineer Industrial Equipment, Northern Region - Established firm, a designer and manufacturer of Industrial Capital Equipment used in the food, industrial, chemical and personal care production/manufacturing industries. Due to increased productivity, we are now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer for the North of England.

This is both a technical and consultative selling role involving communication with decision makers from the boardroom to the factory floor. Based within the territory you will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with existing customers, as well as seeking to develop new opportunities within the region.

The role has a high level of autonomy and requires a significant amount of contact time with customers: advising on product selection to suit each person's specific requirements, along with on-site machine demonstrations. This position would suit someone from an industrial equipment sales background with a strong engineering appreciation and the ability to guide customers on the most appropriate product selection for them.

Experience of packaging machinery, filling machines, depositors, transfer pumps and conveyor filling systems, industrial equipment, manufacturing equipment, food production lines would be an advantage but is not essential as full in-house training will be provided.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Sales Engineer Industrial Equipment, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Field Sales and be living within a commutable distance of Manchester, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston, Bradford, Leeds, York, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Carlisle or be willing to relocate.
