HVAC Design Engineer
A leading designer and manufacturer of commercial ventilation and climate control equipment are looking for a versatile HVAC Design Engineer to join them at their offices in Bridgwater.
Location: Bridgwater, TA6 5HB – need to be office based so local as possible.
Salary: Circa £45,000

As HVAC Design Engineer you will be working as part of an engineering team and will be responsible for the design and selection of ventilation equipment required to complete quotes for bespoke projects all over the world.
As HVAC Design Engineer you will have experience of:
* Psychometrics, manual heat load, heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
* Carry out heat load and hydronic calculations including pipe and duct sizing as well as pressure loss calculations which leads to equipment selection and the design of the plant layout.
* Basic electrical Calculation Knowledge, strong IT skills, experience with, AutoCAD MEP, 3 D Revit, and Excel.
* Produce a customer technical pack detailing all calculations, Installation requirements, Specifications, Energy usage, drawings, and Schematics.
The role requires an engineer with a hands-on approach who will work closely with the Sales, Engineering and Service teams. We would expect an HNC qualification or higher with a proven track record within this field.
Characteristics:
* At least 3 years proven UK work experience with the design of HVAC systems.
* At least 3 years proven work experience with Auto Cad MEP & 3D Revit.
* Self-Motivated, Reliable with a sense of urgency, disciplined, attention to detail a must.
* Team Player so Approachable, Polite, Confident with good Communication skills.
* Hands on practicable mechanical and electrical skills.
* Understanding of machine assembly drawings and electrical wiring Schematics.
The position requires the person to be permanently resident within a 30-mile radius of Bridgwater.
This position will be compensated according to experience but will be in the region of £35,000 to £45,000.
