Job purpose – HGV Mechanic Fitter
- Responsible for the diagnostic testing, servicing and repairs on HGV, Construction Equipment and Heavy Plant.
Job Duties –
- Assess overall condition of product.
- Strip unit in accordance with work instructions.
- Assess individual components to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Evaluate the commercial viability and availability of parts prior to the commencement of any work.
- Build and test product in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Report any faults to the Workshop Supervisor who will advise what action is needed.
Requirement / Experience / Competence / Qualifications :
- Proven experience of repair & maintenance on HGV / Construction Equipment / Heavy Plant or similar equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel) or willing to work towards.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and work under pressure.
- Displays willingness to follow instruction and learn new tasks.
- Knowledge of QHSE Legislation
- Hold a valid driving licence.
- Displays a good attitude towards work, and the aims and objectives of the company.
The role will suit individuals currently working as an HGV Mechanic Fitter, Automotive / Mechanical Fitter, Specialist Vehicle Mechanic, Car Mechanic, Fitter and be living within a commutable distance of Coventry, Birmingham, Rugby, Nuneaton, Warwick or be willing to relocate.
