Established engineering firm seek a highly skilled and motivated Forklift Engineer / Fitter.
Your role will involve the full repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of heavy-handling machinery. You will be a well-rounded engineer with experience across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair and Refurbishment: Fully repair and refurbish forklifts and other heavy-handling equipment, working both in workshops and on-site.
* Diagnostics: Use schematic drawings and machine manuals to diagnose and identify faults, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.
* Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including servicing, part replacements, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Level 3 Qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
* Experienced Forklift Engineer Fitter
* At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on forklift repair.
* Proficient in using mechanical power tools, workshop machinery, and capable of working offsite with minimal equipment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to identify and repair faulty components.
* Compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Driving License.
