As a Business Development Consultant, you will have a dual role where you will be tasked to successfully coordinate and manage the design, sales and administration of projects, maintaining margins and quality standards to deliver maximum customer satisfaction at all times. You will also develop new sales opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders within core customers, local authorities and main contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the design and fit out of foodservice spaces / commercial catering equipment / commercial kitchens, food preparation spaces. You will have excellent computer skills β Microsoft Word, Excel, Office and PowerPoint. Understanding of CDM awareness, health & safety guidelines and best practice guidelines. AutoCAD knowledge is preferable.
As a Business Development Consultant, you will:
- Work with line manager to explore sales opportunities and facilitate and deliver projects across the Scottish region, in line with office sales target and GP margin within agreed timescales.
- Develop business relations with core customers to drive new business opportunities.
- Aim to achieve the desired business mix of 80% core customers & 20% local authorities/main contractors.
- Take comprehensive client brief including site survey measurements and details.
- Develop and communicate brief to CAD/estimator to produce competent design and quotation.
- Demonstrate effective sales techniques and commercial acumen when negotiating with clients to win new business.
- Manage the timely resolution of supplier queries ensuring effective communication with order progress / CAD / Contracts where possible.
- Deliver professional presentations to customers/key stakeholders when required.
- Continually be focused on maximum customer satisfaction utilising high levels of communication both verbally and written.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Business Development Consultant, Sales Manager, Sales Consultant, Business Development Manager and be living within a commutable distance of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen, Central Belt or be willing to relocate.
