A well established and expanding company who design and manufacture electronic instruments for the scientific industry have an immediate requirement for an experienced Electronic Product Support Engineer to join them at their offices near Newmarket, Cambridgeshire.
Location: CB25 0HL, Burwell, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire – the company are quite rural so a car is essential.

As Electronic Product Support Engineer you will be part of a team providing product support service to the manufacturing team. This involves fault finding and resolving electronic product faults, finding alternative electronic parts and repairing failed products.
Key responsibilities:
- Fault-find & carry out repairs
- Introduce improvements to products
- Assist New Product Introduction into Manufacture
- Introduce improvements to product quality
- Solve customer Technical Support problems
- Work on product support projects
- Assist with new product prototyping, test & introduction to Manufacture
As Electronic Product Support Engineer you will have at least 4 years proven technical problem-solving experience with electronic products and their manufacture.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering and experienced with PCB layout, schematic capture, testing, and debugging
- Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, and measurement technology
- Experience with instrumentation, and basic understanding of mechanical engineering, including CAD Drawing systems
You will have a passion for providing a high level of support, be flexible and willing to turn a hand to repairs, production support and test equipment development when required. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and be self-motivated.
