BMS Engineer
A well-established control and automation systems company have an immediate requirement for a BMS Commissioning / Support / Project Engineer to join them at their offices in Reading, Berkshire.
Location: Reading – RG8 7DY
Salary: Circa £50,000 – £65,000 basic car excellent benefits.

You will be joining a well-established company with clear career progression and extensive training programme. This is not a trainee role and it is essential you have at least 2 years’ experience of carrying out commissioning of BMS systems.
Key Responsibilities’:
* Load and commission system and network-level controllers.
* Use safe systems of working and pay particular attention to the Electricity at Work Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations.
* Develop software programs, front-end graphics, commission and troubleshoot to ensure proper operations of the building control system.
* Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
* The production of detailed reports including commissioning reports, test results and as fitted drawings.
* The integration of 3rd party systems into the BMS using Modbus, Mbus or BACnet enabled devices.
* Working closely with the project manager, in regard to updating their progress and the status of the commissioning works.
Key Skills required:
* 2 years of experience in BMS Control systems
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or to related field.
* Previous experience in creating/updating BMS software and graphics.
* Good working knowledge of BMS Industry standards protocols, BACnet, Modbus
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Industry standard H&S certification
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
* Good computer literacy (MS Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* A passion for leading change within the team and become a role model amongst peers.
* Ability to work alone and when necessary, within a larger engineering team.
* Full clean UK Driving License
* Trend, Siemens, RDM and Tridium knowledge
