DescriptionPosition at System CAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professionally registered healthcare professional to join System C's Clinical Safety Team.This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise with digital innovation, helping ensure that healthcare technology is developed, implemented and maintained safely for patients and healthcare professionals.Working alongside experienced clinical safety specialists, you will undertake a structured programme of training and mentoring to develop your expertise as a Clinical Safety Officer. You will act as a vital link between clinical practice, product development and patient safety, supporting the safe design and delivery of healthcare solutions used across health and care settings.What you'll be doingLead and manage clinical risk assessments for assigned productsSupport the investigation, prioritisation and resolution of clinical safety incidentsContribute to root cause analysis and corrective action planningAct as the clinical safety lead for designated projectsMaintain and update Clinical Safety Files and related documentationEnsure products and services comply with applicable clinical safety standards and regulationsSupport the clinical safety and regulatory activities associated with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) including CEPs, CERs and post-market surveillanceCollaborate with clinicians, product teams and technical colleagues to support safe system developmentPromote awareness of clinical safety best practice across the organisationSupport audits, safety reporting and governance activitiesParticipate in the on-call rota, providing clinical safety advice when requiredContribute to patient safety assessments, hazard logs and safety casesWhat we're looking forRegistered healthcare professional with a minimum of five years' clinical experience within NHS or private healthcare settingsUnderstanding of DCB0129 and DCB0160 Clinical Safety Standards and the regulatory requirements applicable to Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).Completion of, or willingness to undertake, an accredited Clinical Safety Officer courseExperience within NHS informatics or digital healthcare environmentsFamiliarity with healthcare technology systems and clinical workflowsUnderstanding of project management principles and system development lifecyclesStrong analytical, communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and make informed decisionsCommitment to improving patient safety through technologyWhy join System C?At System C, you'll be part of an organisation focused on improving outcomes through technology.
